  1. A pointer is any of several breeds of gun 
  2. DOG, bred especially to scent the position of 
  3. game and indicate it by standing, nose 
  4. pointed towards it, often with one forefoot 
  5. raised, in silence. English pointers have 
  6. smooth coats, mainly white mixed with black, 
  7. tan, or dark brown. They stand about 60cm
  8. (24inches) tall, and weigh 28kg (62lb).
